Torque, not top-end power, is the story

Diesel engines are torque-focused by design, and that’s exactly where a remap has the biggest effect. Recalibrating the fuelling and boost on a common-rail diesel typically brings a substantial torque increase, transforming how the car pulls from low revs — overtaking, towing and general driveability all benefit.

What actually changes on a diesel remap

We recalibrate fuel injection quantity and timing, boost pressure, and torque limiters within the engine’s safe limits. Because diesels run at much higher injection pressures than petrol engines, precision here matters even more.

What about the DPF and emissions equipment?

We don’t remove or disable emissions equipment as part of a standard remap — DPF and EGR systems stay fully functional. Our tunes are built to work with your existing emissions hardware, not against it, keeping the car legal and MOT-compliant.

Worth knowing: a healthy DPF and a well-calibrated remap generally get on fine together — it’s a neglected DPF, not the remap itself, that tends to cause issues.
