Why Swansea city driving is hard on modern diesels
Short, stop-start journeys — Uplands to the city centre, a school run in Sketty, a crawl along Fabian Way — rarely get a diesel particulate filter hot enough to finish a regeneration cycle. Do that for long enough and the filter loads up, the car starts regeneration attempts it never completes, and eventually you get a warning light and a limp-mode trip to a main dealer quoting four figures for a replacement.

Getting to us from Swansea
Our workshop is at Unit 1F, Cwmgors Industrial Estate, Park Howard Rd, Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, Ammanford, SA18 1PA — roughly 17 miles from Swansea city centre, about 30 minutes in normal traffic.
The straightforward run is north out of the city on the A4067 up the Swansea Valley through Clydach and Pontardawe, then onto the A474 north-west through Rhos and Alltwen to Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. Coming from the west of the city or off the M4, leaving at Junction 45 and picking up the A4067 avoids the city-centre traffic.
