1. Booking & a quick chat about your goals

We start with a conversation — what you drive, what you want from it (more punch for daily driving, better economy, towing performance, or outright numbers), and any modifications already fitted. This shapes which stage and which map suits you best.

2. A quick health check on arrival

Before we touch any software, we check the basics: fault codes, boost pipework, fluid condition and anything that could affect the outcome. Tuning a car with an existing fault rarely ends well, so this step protects you.

3. Reading and backing up your original file

We connect to the ECU (via OBD port or bench connection depending on the platform) and read off the standard file first. This is stored permanently, so your car can always be returned to exactly how it left the factory.

4. Writing the custom calibration

Using the read data, we write a calibration built for your specific engine, fuel type and goals — adjusting boost, fuelling, ignition timing and limiters within safe margins. This isn’t a generic file loaded from a database.

5. Road test and dyno verification

Once written, we road test the car to check driveability, then verify the gains on our in-house MAHA 4-wheel rolling road — so the power and torque figures you’re given are measured, not estimated.

Total time: most Stage 1 remaps are completed within a few hours — you can usually wait with the car or drop it off for the day.

6. Handover and lifetime warranty

You leave with a printed or digital before/after dyno graph, a lifetime software warranty on the work, and the peace of mind that the original file is safely backed up if you ever need it.
