Van Guard hook locks add a separate, key-operated hook bolt to your van doors. Instead of a straight bolt, the hook swings into a receiving bracket and grips it, so the door resists being forced or peeled open. The brackets are 304-grade stainless steel with a black powder coat. The locks are pull-tested to 500kg (5.0kN) and hold Sold Secure Gold, and every lock on the van can be keyed alike.

Key Features

What the Van Guard Hook Lock Does

Hook, not just a bolt

The hook bolt swings into its receiving bracket and hooks over it, so the door is much harder to force open than with a straight bolt.

Pull-tested to 500kg

Tested to a 5.0kN pull without failing, and certified Sold Secure Gold.

Stainless steel

The brackets are made from 304-grade stainless steel, powder-coated black.

One key for the van

A higher-security dimple key, with every lock on the van keyed alike.

Door-specific kits

Kits for single or twin sliding doors, rear barn doors or tailgates, with optional cab door locks.

Fits most vans

Available for more than 30 van models from 2001 onwards, including the Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Master, Vauxhall Vivaro and VW Transporter.

Van Guard Hook Lock Questions

Yes. Every Van Guard lock fitted to your van is keyed alike, so one dimple key opens them all.

More than 30 van models from 2001 onwards, including the Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Master, Vauxhall Vivaro and VW Transporter. Ask us about yours.

Both are hook-bolt deadlocks that work independently of your central locking. Van Guard uses stainless steel brackets and a dimple key. L4V uses its T-series cylinder, which can be keyed alike with other L4V locks such as the Statement Lock.

Around an hour per lock on most vans. We'll confirm when you book.
