Ford · Ranger · 2019–2023
The Ranger's 2.0 EcoBlue Bi-Turbo is one of the most requested remaps we do — pickup owners and tradespeople want the truck to pull harder when loaded or towing, not just a bigger number on paper. Stage 1 delivers exactly that, with no hardware changes needed.

Stage 1 & Stage 2
The Bi-Turbo EcoBlue is tuned conservatively from the factory to suit a huge range of markets, load conditions and fuel qualities. A specialist remap safely unlocks the torque the engine has spare — exactly what a working pickup needs.
A Stage 1 remap on the Ford Ranger requires no hardware modifications. We recalibrate boost, fuelling and torque limiter maps within the engine's safe limits — the difference is most noticeable when towing, loaded, or pulling away on an incline.
Stage 2 typically pairs a custom map with an upgraded intercooler and free-flowing exhaust to handle the extra airflow, pushing the EcoBlue further while keeping the drivetrain within safe margins.
What Changes
On the Ranger we recalibrate boost pressure, fuelling, torque limiters and throttle mapping. The result is a broader torque curve lower in the rev range — the part of the map that matters most when the bed's loaded or there's a trailer on the back.
Factory boost is set conservatively across every market the Ranger is sold in. We raise it to a level the Bi-Turbo can comfortably sustain.
Fuel delivery is recalibrated to match the new boost levels precisely, improving response without hurting reliability.
Factory torque limiters are set with a large safety margin. We raise them within safe limits so the extra power is actually usable, not clipped.
We sharpen the throttle map so the truck responds the moment you press the pedal — useful when pulling out or overtaking loaded.

A quality remap modifies the ECU's calibration data rather than adding any external hardware. It leaves no physical trace and does not trigger warning lights.
All work is carried out at our workshop in Ammanford, which also has a MAHA 4WD dyno for before/after verification.
Yes — the biggest benefit on a Stage 1 Ranger remap is mid-range torque, which is exactly what you feel when towing, loaded, or pulling away on an incline. It reduces the need to drop a gear as often and makes the truck noticeably less strained under load.
Yes, when done properly. Our Stage 1 software stays within the engine and drivetrain's safe operating tolerances — we're not chasing headline numbers on a vehicle that needs to be reliable day in, day out.
